A2 Hosting Pricing & Discounts
First (1); Nearly all plans come with an automatically applied “coupon code” during normal sign up (details per plan below!). However no other coupon codes or campaign activation links actually exist. Any website claiming to offer them is simply being misleading — all A2Hosting offers & promos are in plain sight on their website.
The company promotes transparency & disallows the promotion of such “fake coupons”; neither am I claiming to offer any kind of discount promos on this site.
Second (2); The discount will reduce a significant percentage from the first total price and revert to the regural price after the first billing cycle has ended. The longer the billing cycle, the bigger the discount and benefit. I’ve calculated the monthly price difference of each plan below.
Third (3); If you want to upgrade your hosting plan; do so within 30 days and the appropriate discount will be applied to the difference in cost. If 30 day limit has passed; changes in cost will be charged according to regular pricing.

Note: Linux is simply the most common, and stable server platform used for hosting services; there is no need for actual Linux skills. For the nerdy type, so called “shell access” via SSH is available to reach the Linux command prompt.
Windows Shared A2 Hosting
Difference with Windows hosting is that it uses Microsoft’s “Plesk Control Panel” to manage hosting operations and supports all the usual web applications on Windows Server; such as MSQL, ASP.NET, Access Database, MVC, .NET Core, Silverlight and many more. Traditional MySQL & PHP are also supported.
If what you want to run your website with requires the Windows Server environment, this is your plan — rest of specs are the same as with regular linux hosting. It’s also backwards compatible so that Linux suitable software will work on Windows.

Cloud A2 Hosting
The cloud hosting environment is designed for extreme scalability of resources and customizability for advanced users. It works by reserving resources such as memory, CPU cores, CPU speed and storage from multiple servers; optimizing hosting needs.
Several Linux OS distributions are supported, such as: CentOS 5, 6 & 7, FreeBSD 9, Fedora 16, Slackware 13, Fedora 17 & 20, Ubuntu 12.04 & 14.04, Debian 6 & 7 and Gentoo. Additional Hosting Tips
Here are some good points to consider when planning A2Hosting deployment.
Purchase your domain separately
Purchasing a domain name through A2 Hosting such as a .com will cost you $14.95USD for the convenience. There are plenty of existing domain name registrars where you can get a domain much cheaper — such as NameSilo .com Monthly $8.99 (they also have lifetime free WHOIS privacy). And cheaper domain registrars have renewal up charges and you could end up paying even more than directly with A2 Hosting in the long run (not recommended).
Other Hosting Plans
On their official website you can see plenty of hosting plans for specific software and web solutions — these are actually all on the same shared hosting platform with the same available plans: Lite, Swift, Turbo. But it does mean that there is support for them. This also includes email hosting; which simply uses the shared hosting’s cPanel platform to manage email accounts with regular support on POP3, IMAP & SMTP protocols.
